Currently, more than 95% of Technistone's production is exported to over 60 countries around the world. From the circular economy point of view, Technistone uses waste mirrors and glass, as well as micro-milled silica sand (fillers), casial dedusting from crushing feldspar, and finally uses shavings and waste resulting from natural stone processing in northern Italy or stone blocks with natural defects from machining. The onsumption of secondary raw materials from metallized and non-metallized glass, mirror and casial fillers also increased.
The sludge produced by the company is taken up by brickworks and cement plants. In 2018, Technistone invested in a new WWTP. There still remains a problem with cuttings from the production of tiles and formats. It is possible to crush them for reuse, use as ornamental rubble on the ground (however, there are problems wit sharp fragments here) or use in the production of window sills, small coffee tables and mosaics
