We’re pleased to announce that Wilsonart® Engineered Surfaces has entered into an agreement to acquire Technistone, a.s. Wilsonart is a world-leading engineered surfaces company that is driven by a mission to create surfaces people love, with service you can count on, delivered by people who care. For more than 60 years, Wilsonart has focused on delivering industry-leading products and services to its customers. Today, the Company has over 4,500 employees with manufacturing facilities worldwide including Europe, Asia, and North America, serving over 100 countries. The Company operates under Wilsonart®, Resopal®, Polyrey®, Arborite®, Laminart®, Bushboard™, Shore™, Mermaid™, Ralph Wilson®, KML®, and Durcon® brands, and manufactures/distributes High Pressure Laminate, Quartz, Solid Surface, Coordinated TFL and Edgebanding, and other engineered surface materials for use in the office, education, healthcare, residential, hospitality, and retail markets.
In 2015, Wilsonart entered the North American quartz market, combining its best-in-class logistics systems with its industry-leading customer service, sales, and specification platforms. This winning combination has allowed the Wilsonart Quartz program to quickly become a highly-regarded and recognized leader within the commercial and residential market segments throughout North America.
The addition of Technistone® builds on Wilsonart’s already strong foundation and better positions the Company to focus on the growth of quartz worldwide and is expected to
support the sustainable long-term success of both companies. The acquisition will combine the complementary strengths of Technistone and Wilsonart, providing the opportunity to integrate Technistone’s category-leading business into Wilsonart’s portfolio of brands and products, which will allow both companies to better serve our customers.
Subject to regulatory approvals, we expect the transaction to be completed in September 2019. After the transaction closes, we plan to leverage the best practices, experience, and capabilities of both companies and we will communicate with you as we discover new and innovative ways to better serve our customers. For you as a current Technistone customer or supplier, our business will continue without any interruption. Company name and address remain unchanged. Customer and supplier phone calls and orders should be directed to the same numbers and addresses you currently utilize.
