OVERHANGS
An overhang is the surface of the slab that is not directly supported by the structure beneath it.
The permitted overhang of a slab can only be determined with certainty by a specialist, as it depends on many factors, such as:
- slab thickness,
- quartz fraction content and its granularity,
- resin content, etc.
The table below provides approximate guidelines for the potential need and placement of a brace or supporting element for a given overhang for 20 and 30 mm worktops:

TechniStone® material, ideal for kitchen countertops, cladding, floors or fireplaces, is typically maintained with common mild cleaning agents. For more demanding cleaning, such as removing grease deposits around the hob or limescale near the sink, we recommend using the products listed in the Cleaning Manual. After application, always rinse the surface thoroughly with water and detergent and wipe with clean water.
Long-term exposure to aggressive chemicals may damage the surface finish. Therefore, use only cleaning agents approved for engineered stone.
