This large, split-level apartment was created in the unused attic space of an older apartment building in Prague’s charming Vinohrady district. You can see all the way to Prague Castle from its windows!
The assignment was to create a family-friendly space with a kitchen and a large island at its center where people can meet and spend time together. Its furnishings had to be tasteful and imaginative, but above all, practical. For that reason, the architect chose a countertop made with TechniStone® as the centerpiece of the kitchen.

The apartment has an airy feel thanks not only to its light color scheme, but also to its extensive use of custom-made furniture. It has plenty of storage space while still maintaining a timeless, minimalist style. Its clean lines are complemented by classic elements such as coffered wall paneling and frames around the kitchen cabinet doors.
Attention to detail is the key to the extraordinarily aesthetic impression the apartment makes. The impeccable execution of the joints in the engineered stone on the kitchen island is evidence of that. The architects like to come up with something new for every project, so they used TechniStone® for the shelves in the kitchen and over the bar in the dining room. The shelf in the kitchen is over four meters long and is embedded with an LED strip that illuminates the work surface.
